About the classes:

YOGA for Mixed Levels

Yoga is an excellent way to exercise both the body and mind. Yoga helps us feel good about ourselves. It helps improve fitness by toning and strengthening our bodies. Yoga also helps us slow down, relax and feel more positive about our everyday lives. The more we practice yoga the more we feel an overall sense of wellbeing.

The classes are largely influenced by the teachings of Anusara Yoga and operate around a theme each week such as back bends to energise or forward bends and hip openers to release and let go. The aim is to create strength and fluidity in the postures with an emphasis on alignment. Breathing exercises are also taught to help encourage relaxation.

Beginners as well as more advance students are welcome in the class as sequences and postures can be adapted to suit all levels.

PREGNANCY YOGA

Being pregnant is a special time for any woman and yoga can help nourish and nurture your body.

The classes aim to strengthen, open and calm body and mind and you will learn a variety of breathing techniques to help you relax and prepare confidently for birth.

BABY YOGA

Baby yoga classes are beneficial to both you and your baby. The stimulation of touch, movement and rhythm aims to helps your babies emotional and physical development. Postnatal yoga exercises will help you relax, tone and re-energise. You will also meet other mums and have lots of fun!

Josie encourages you to come to class as soon as you feel ready - a good time to start is anytime from 6 weeks to walking.

PRIVATE CLASSES

For anyone wanting to practice yoga in a one-to-one or small group session. The classes can be held at your home or work or at Josie's yoga studio in St. Albans.
